Master 4×4 Expeditions: An unforgettable Experience and Adventure Awaits!

Are you ready to take your offroad skills to the next level? How to master difficult terrain passages safely and avoid unnecessary damage to the vehicles? Experienced instructors teach the drivers of the expedition trucks handling the technology correctly and show how best to master steep passages, twists and turns, inclines and descents as well as water crossings. Because only who masters the vehicle, reaches the destination safely!
This training is provided by TUFA GmbH, a PureXploring partner. TUFA is and experienced specialist training provider for offroading skills and outdoor events. The 4×4 Expedition Training will take place at TUFA’s 35’000 m² offroad terrain in Biberach, located at the Schwäbische Alb between Stuttgart and Munich.
Small Groups, Big Impact
To ensure a personalized experience, the training is conducted in small groups, allowing for plenty of hands-on driving time under the watchful eye of experienced instructors. The cost? A reasonable 1999.- € per vehicle, which includes two participants. Have more friends or family who want to join? No problem—additional participants can be added for a small extra fee.
Day 1: Getting Started
Your journey begins on Friday at 14.00 with a warm welcome and a thorough theoretical introduction. After the briefing you embark on a scenic drive that serves as an orientation and warm-up. This is where you will experience different ways of using the truck’s braking system, you will learn how to manoeuvre through a pylon course and experience your truck under heavy twisting conditions.
The day will end with getting together and a BBQ.
Day 2: Into the Wild
Rise early for a hearty breakfast; you’ll need the energy for what’s to come. Today’s focus is on mastering traction systems and differential locks—essential tools in your off-road arsenal. Communication is key, so you’ll also learn how to guide and be guided with precision during tricky maneuvers.
The adventure escalates with a nerve-testing “Schrägfahrt” (side slope driving) session, followed by a much-needed lunch break. But the day is far from over. Next, you’ll tackle a water crossing—a true test of your vehicle’s waterproofing and your nerves.
In the afternoon, the focus shifts from the technical to the practical with a Survival Course centered on emergency medical skills tailored for remote expeditions.
Day 3: Conquer the Terrain
After another early breakfast, you’re back in the driver’s seat for the steepest challenges yet: ascending and descending sharp inclines. You’ll learn how to manage these with confidence, even in the most precarious situations. Safety is paramount, so you’ll also practice secured retreat and emergency maneuvers.
The training wraps up with a hands-on workshop focusing on recovery techniques and tools.

This is not just a training; it’s a short but full-blown expedition including overnight camping on the offroad terrain, spending time with like-minded outdoor people and independent traveling enthusiasts as well as offroad, survival and emergency medicine experts.
